Housing Assistance Program

The Giving Hand provides permanent and transitional housing for veterans, families, and individuals in need, and the elderly. With multiple residential sites across California, The Giving Hand, works in partnership with a variety of housing facilities to provide permanent and transitional housing for homeless veterans, abused women with children, families, seniors, and disadvantaged youth. Along with volunteers, our staff members venture into local communities to find individuals in need of these services. Our wide range of services includes housing and employment assistance, as well as access to programs that treat mental and physical health problems and substance abuse.

Veteran Housing

The great individuals that have sacrificed their lives for Americans and people around the world should never have to return homeless. We're here for those heroes and we stand by our promise to help these men and women assimilate back into society.

Individual/Family Services

Affordable housing is one of our top priorities, and we extend our facilities to homeless single mothers and fathers, families and displaced individuals.

Transitional Youth

Each year more than 20,000 children age out of the foster care system, 20% of which become instantly homeless. Our transitional youths program gives young men and women aged 18 to 26 the opportunity to thrive by providing housing and resources that aid in educational advancement and job placement.
